Student Attack the British embassy in Tehran

A number of militant students broke through the British embassy compound in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Tuesday (29/11).
The incident occurred during a protest against the sanctions against Iran.
Television footage showed the British flag torn and various documents were thrown out through the window.
Reuters news agency reported the students pelted the British embassy with stones and Molotov cocktails.

Before entering the embassy compound of the students who shouted the words "Death to Britain" clashed with riot police in front of the embassy.

The day's events took place two days after Iran's Guardians Council and Parliament agreed to cut ties with Britain, after the government of Prime Minister David Cameron continued to impose sanctions related to Iran's nuclear program.

Western countries accuse Iran is developing nuclear weapons while the government in Tehran says the program is only for the sake of peace.

Responding to incidents in Tehran, the Foreign Office in London said they were upset with the attack.

"The situation on the ground can still grow and we continue to get the details. We are angry over this incident. We can not accept and we condemn the incident," a statement from the Foreign Office.

"Under international law, including the Vienna Convention, the Iranian government is obliged to protect all the diplomats and foreign embassies in Iran."

"We hope the situation in the field immediately addressed to ensure the safety of diplomats and embassies," said the Foreign Office.
