Department of Justice in South Korea is developing the project of making a robot that will be used to maintain prison security in the country.Experts design the robot guards to patrol around the cells that are in prison. These robots have the ability to detect noise or peculiarities that exist in the prison and immediately gave the signal at the actual prison guards.
Not only to detect the noise, the robot guards could also serve as a messenger if there are prisoners who are sick or need help.
The plan, the robot will begin to be tested for one month in prison city of Pohang, Seoul, South Korea. The guard at the prison could not agree more with the operation of the robot guards. They consider the robot can help ease the job.
Touched on issues related to the approval of the inmates use the robot, a prison warden stated that there would be no problem considering the robot guards were not acting as a punishment but as a helper and security guards.
