Applications and games the most demanding teenager in the world

Applications and games
According to a Web site called, Apps Blog, Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet will have a catalog of thousands of Android apps and games when it goes on sale in the United States on November 15, 2011.  Launch apps will include streaming media services Netflix, Rhapsody and Pandora; social apps Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn; news apps Bloomberg and Pulse, and a swathe of games including Doodle Jump, Fruit Ninja and titles from EA, Zynga, Gameloft, PopCap and Rovio Mobile.  Very impressive.
Amazon is clearly making a big effort to launch the Kindle Fire with a strong base of applications to avoid on the key criticisms of previous tables running Google’s Android software:  a lack of native tablet-optimized applications.
I will certainly miss Skype, since I use it to communicate with a dear friend in the States, almost on a daily basis.  In order to talk to her, I have to remain glued to my desktop in my office.  It would be nice to phone her from any room in the house.  However, that disappointment is being compensation with the availability of Netflix and Bloomberg.  I enjoy these two sites for movies and financial news using my desktop system.
I should be receiving my Amazon tablet sometime between November 21 and November 29.  I feel the days are much too long and November 29 seems so far away, lost in the horizon.  Waiting is not a pleasant experience.  Good Day.
